The Vatican has issued June 28 guidelines about the civil registration of Catholic clergy in China.
The registration is compulsory according to Chinese law and includes the acceptance of the independence, autonomy and self-administration of the Communist regime church.
The guidelines pays lip service to not forcing anyone’s conscience and admits that Catholics suffer "intimidatory pressures" in China. But then it goes own encouraging the registration with the following [wrong] arguments,
- that China’s Constitution formally guarantees religious freedom,
- that the regime church's independence is not meant in an absolute sense as separation from the Pope,
- that there is a [secret] agreement between China and the Holy See
- that “all Chinese [regime] bishops” [the married ones included?] are in communion with the Vatican
The guidelines finally ask the [betrayed] faithful to accept the "decisions" of the [regime] pastors.

Could you elaborate on government “encouraged” registration of churches in the USA, beyond recording their affirmation they qualify for the tax exempt privilege?
I can’t think, at the moment, of any other government condition that seeks church registration, myself.
The jackboots in the Vatican make unilateral decisions in the Amazon based on using a tiny, remote indigenous population, (who account for only half the population of Rome) in order to impact the entire Roman Catholic Church.
Likewise, the pope and his Vatican regime made the same unilateral styled decision as Pilate did Christ Jesus, to abandon the Chinese faithful and turn them over to the communist Chinese government fox as they will.
A foster home, run by government approved “Catholic” bishops, following the dispatch of faithful bishops. God forbid.

Liability issues. If your church isn’t incorporated, maybe you personally are at risk for liability.
id numbers for bank accounts. Try having a bank account without a number.
Try doing any business without a government id number...…………...
