Dr Carter was converted to Christ at an early age, but did not know what to do with the theory of evolution. He always knew what he wanted to believe, but had no way to express what he was thinking and no evidence to support his views. In his freshman year of college, he was exposed to the information for creation for the first time and soon after adopted it as his modus operandi. He says he felt a tremendous joy when he realized his science and his religion were no longer at odds. This joy (and, he says, Creation magazine and the Journal of Creation) enabled him to get through the in-depth evolutionary training of his undergraduate and graduate programs with his faith intact.
He obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on “Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.” While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patented fluorescent protein) to a biotech company.
He is currently a senior scientist and speaker for CMI-USA in Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently researching human genetics and other issues related to biblical creation.
Based on this talk,
DON’T assume that just because two people have similar skin color,
that they are of the same “race”.
Biblically, if you’re “white”, don’t assume you are in the family of Japheth.

It’s amazing that in a couple of thousand of years, the descendants of Noah became the aborigines of Australia, the blacks of sub-Saharan Africa, the East Asian and South Asian of Asia and the caucasions of Europe.

Always thought though would have been a good way to classify humans.

That’s just it - there’s only one race. Human.
God doesn’t care about skin color or ethnic origins. He, His Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit only care about if a soul is theirs, or not. If theirs, that soul is safe. If not, we’re to work together to convert that soul to theirs.
That’s it - period.

Every once in awhile a blue-eyed gene will pop up into a descendant of Cush.
Heck even in my children the hair color varies from dark blonde to dark dark brown. Eye color blue and brown.
Genes are incredibly unpredictable.
I always wonder when God split up humanity at Babel, what humanity looked like back then (just my curiosity).
Were Japheth, Shem, and Ham really as different looking as some scholars make us believe?

I have 3 daughters with the same mother. It’s odd, in that child #1 looks like a mini-mother. Child #2 looks like both of our mothers (short-ish side, my mom was 5’5”, her mom was 5’3”), and the youngest is the tallest and biggest.
So, genetics is a crazy thing.
I’m a Caucasian, by skin tone. I know my family tree is traced to English, French, American Indian (within 3 generations). However, I was told by the US Navy I have sickle cell trait - and they tested me 4 times. So, what am I? Human is my only answer.
There is no grace with Apple.

Genes are funny oddities.
You think your family tree is one thing and it could be something totally different.
I’m not sure how accurate those genetic tests are, as a matter of fact I’m highly skeptical - but all along my family thought we were over 50% Spanish/Basque and our surnames match that trend as well. Turns out it only accounts for 5% of the bloodline. LOL!

Well, since I had had blood taken from me for neigh on 30 years (by the US Navy and the VA), I figure doing a 23 & me or whatever doesn’t open up my genetic material any further than it already is, so will probably be doing one this week.

You are welcome. Robert Carter seems to be a very important creation scientist. He represents a newer generation that God has been raising up, and his past and current work seem to be heading in a very strong direction.
