And white evangelicals are most likely to give incredible amounts of money to foreign missions programs. The largest line item in the budgets of churches I’ve attended is “Missions”. It’s better to give aid to those within the countries so the people can remain there and improve their own countries.

Refugees, in most cases, should be housed as near as possible to their homes, so that once the fighting subsides, they can return home.
Evangelicals have no problem with refugees coming here legally, according to our laws. Any liberal organization that doesn’t know that by now isn’t listening. On purpose.
Does the US have a responsibility to accept refuges who come here legally? Yes. WE have no responsibility to accept and house lawbreakers. And my Bible never suggests such a thing.
Jesus would tell them to go home and have faith that God will sustain them as they follow our laws for legal entry here.
