The ELCA left me in 2009.
I left the ELCA in 2010/11.
THe ELCA left you the day it was formed.
I had also been on several ELCA (and predecessor) church councils, and served as an ELCA lay Assisting Minister.
The ELCA left me BEFORE 2009, when they adopted that radical-feminist “new red book” pseudo-”liturgy”.
At that time, I was also attending a Serbian Orthodox parish once a month. Several Serb Brothers and Sisters suggested that it was time for me to join the Orthodox Church. So I started scounting out English-language Orthodox parishes in my area.
In 2010, I was received into the Orthodox Church.
I’m still Orthodox, and I regularly pray for all my brothers and sisters who are still in the ELCA. Now that the ELCA has gone much further off the deep end, my prayers may finally become effectual—Lord willing!! We’ve had numerous Chrismations in our parish this year—it’s always time for lots more!!!!
