Agreed. I’d love to be able to come back to the church. But those at the helm refuse to admit the root cause of the pedophilia issue, let alone address it, and are moving ever-left in their petitions of the faithful.
Leftist ruin all they touch. Catholic church, boy scouts, NFL, the military, and on and on and on...
Only one recourse exists: invalidate Vatican II.........
We do not lose heart …. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God (2 Cor 4:1-2).
My way forward is going to be joining a Missouri Synod church very soon.
It’s taken a lifetime but I’ve finally at peace with the idea that we are justified by faith alone. And what value does an elaborate hierarchy provide to ordinary Christians?
Terrible thing to have to break with the faith you were raised in, but that’s where I find myself.
Being more faithfully Catholic would do that.

Ok. You go start a council, and see how many Bishops you know attend.
Simply saying, “purge all communists and punish all the pedophiles” is like saying, “Get rid of all liberals in America then we can be patriotic citizens.”
Hand-wringing and fist-waving isn’t going to do anything.
