It's God's will for His children to be separate,
Faith Presses On

Posted on 10/26/2019 2:54:35 PM PDT by Faith Presses On

God's will for us:

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you..." 2 Corinthians 6:17

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Revelation 18:4-5

"And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall. My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD." Jeremiah 51:44-45

Versus Satan's schemes:

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth." Revelation 12:9

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17

In virtually every way today, Satan is scheming to make himself and his desires for the souls of mankind as inescapable as possible. He entices and deceives, and when those fail, he simply coerces.

It’s God’s way of protecting us from many things.

From the consequences of sin and from the judgment brought onto the ungodly for their sin.

For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Separate from what?

Separate from what?

Separating from incorporating the doctrines and practices of the world in one's personal and in corporate church manifestations.

"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you" (John 15:19 AV).

"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world" (Php. 2:15 AV).

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world" )1 John 2:15-16 AV).

Incoherent jibberish!

Incoherent jibberish!

Only to the soulish worldling, who knows nothing about God and His Word.

If you can't figure it out from the verses quoted, nor from the 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 passage sensew, then you do not understand what it means to be a true Christian, not just a CINO.

The mature committed born-from-above worshipper of Jesus has become dead to Sin, to Satan, to self, and to the world; and alive to Christ and His culture. That is what "separation" means in this context.

I just love being judged by “true” Christians on FR.

Oh?

"Qui s'excuse, s'accuse."

(That's the French proverb, "He who excuses himself accuses oneself.")

It is Holy Scripture that declares the standard, and The Mighty God that does the judging, not His faithful subjects. Their job is to know the standards and give their fellow humans fair warning.

Regarding "gibberish," what sayeth the scripture?

1 Corinthians 2:12-16

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things which are freely given us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Gibberish to the soulish foolish human, but clear and obvious to the child of God who has escaped condemnation by receiving new life through trusting in Christ, and having thereafter been discipled into spiritual maturity.

The deal is open to any Sin-bound worldling who is willing to likewise give up making excuses for his/her own behavior, to yield oneself irrevocably to the Messiah Jesus, to be His solely-owned blood-bought possession by Him as Master, to be reborn in the Spirit to eternal life, and to be transformed by the progressive renewal of one's mind by the "washing of water" of God's Inspired Word.

So, what's your status?

Yes. Not being separate, or it being very hard to be separate, makes it much harder to be and stay obedient and faithful to Him. And I didn’t quite emphasize this as I might have, but that then seems to be part of Satan’s scheme, to make it increasingly difficult for believers to be separate from the world. There’s no “New World” to escape to, and the worldly increasingly compel those who are believers, and more broadly, anyone who disagrees with them on anything, to do and say and even change their minds to believe the same as they do, or else face stiff consequences. And the ever-advancing technologies of the modern world make it easier for them, in service to the Beast, to make it difficult for people to be and stay separate.
