In a public pastoral letter, Bishop Marangoni apologizes to divorced Catholics who have begun new experiences of union through civil remarriage or cohabitation and have felt judged, criticized, or ignored in our parish communities.
For a long time, we have also said that you could not be fully admitted to the sacraments of Penance and the Eucharist, while in many of you there was a desire to be sustained by the gift of the sacraments and by the warmth and affection of a community, the bishop laments.

A lot of donation money, an inspection, a total reading out for an annulment and these atheist so called clergy blow off my efforts to preserve. Good home, which God continually blesses for a bunch of fellow atheist slutty computer dating who-gives-a-crap-about-the lord and creators
They are going to have to deal with so much crap before their condemnation. Much more that I could manage
But they are destroy the family.
I’m no expert but, offhand, I can only think of one time when Jesus reconsidered what he’d said, and that was for his first miracle.
It’s rather unlikely he’d reconsider on this issue, just because Fauxp and his ilk are inclined to let bygones be bygones and fire-sale the sacraments.
They’re the rules!!!! :)
Even the mafia has rules they have to live by.
They’re old rules and they don’t change.
Being an Italian Catholic, I know it’s not a good analogy :), but even the WORST organizations have rules that CANT be changed.
Jesus didn’t say “well, if you change your mind about some of these later on it’s ok” :)
The Bible, like the constitution is dead.
Long live the Bible.
heresy encouraged by a heretic pope
So - the Bible tells us that divorce equates to adultery....Jesus also told us that all one had to do was consider breaking a commandment and that person has not only broken it, but all others as well.
If the standard is to no have committed adultery to be able to Commune with one’s creator, I posit that nobody is worthy....except, He told us that by believing in Jesus and His sacrifice for us and asking Him to be our Lord and Savior has the affect of God not recognizing our sins anymore and He deems us worthy...
Those who try to blather from their high horses remind me of a direct rebuke from God when Peter said he wouldn’t eat some foods that had been categorized as “unclean” in the Old Covenant....
“ 14No, Lord! Peter answered. I have never eaten anything impure or unclean. 15The voice spoke to him a second time: Do not call anything impure that God has made clean. 16This happened three times, and all at once the sheet was taken back up into heaven.
They like to obsess over some parts of the Bible and ignore others and their implications...
And yet the heresy of allowing communion to non-catholics has been allowed since at least JPII (and yes, that includes Benedict).
Follow the money.
Divorced Catholics who enter second civil marriages join Protestant churches where they TITHE. And many of those churches have grown very, very big while the Catholic Church continues to contract.
This is all about luring them back to the collection basket.
Are you sure of this? At every Mass where there may be non-Catholics, weddings, funerals, the Priest announces Non-Catholics my receive a blessing, but not the Eucharist. That is also explained in the monthly Mass books.
Please show your source for your statement.
See JPII New Code of Canon Law where exceptions are made.
Before Vatican II there were never exceptions...one HAD to be Catholic NO MATTER WHAT. The codification of Vatican II in the New Code of Law began the slippery slope.
Otherwise I call BS.
Canons 844.3 and .4 Keep in mind that this was never allowed before...
http://www.vatican.va/archive/cod-iuris-canonici/eng/documents/cic_lib4-cann834-878_en.html#BOOK_IV
Contrast that with 1917 Code of Canon Law:
Canon 731.2
It is forbidden that the Sacraments of the Church be ministered to heretics and schismatics, even if they ask for them and are in good faith, unless beforehand, rejecting their errors, they are reconciled with the Church.
So these Catholics who divorced and remarried get NO LOVE WHATSOEVER IN THE CHURCH, just because they could not receive the Eucharist???
Jesus did NOT say divorced and remarried people suck! He just said they were committing a form of adultery.
