Visitors from other nations are surprised to see American flags everywhere.
Yeah, I keep reading/seeing that. Spent several weeks in Italy and saw the Italian flag everywhere. Maybe just because we were near touristy type places but there was no shortage or question of where we were.
We also found there to be quite a large veneration and active worship in churches. Goodly numbers of folks would stop in during the work day for a quick prayer/reflection.
I remember when that was common in our neighborhood church.
People walking by would stop in for a quick prayer.
There would always be 3 to five people in the church usually in the back rows, sometimes up front at the various icons.
