Here in the Diocese of Knoxville, in addition to the recorded and live-streamed Masses, all our churches have been open every day from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the Blessed Sacrament on the altar, for people to come in whenever they want for private adoration.

I was a little startled when the deacons had to ask us all to leave because they were setting up to live-stream the Good Friday liturgy, celebrated without a congregation.

I noticed a lady kneeling on the walkway at the side door, peering through the glass door to view the Liturgy. Touching and solemn.

What a sad, strange Triduum.

But...

Maybe if we can't come to Church, Church comes to us.

What a wonderful thing. I wish we were doing that in our diocese (where the bishop closed the churches immediately even though the governor said that churches could remain open).
