And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. --Hebrews 11:6

If cold facts and proof were available so as to offer no logical alternative to believing in Jesus, it would nonetheless not produce what God desires for his human creations, those created in His image. --Gen 1:27

A rock may contain logical and undeniable proof of its creator God. Though God was pleased by His creation, only humans were endowed in their creation of His image. We are His workmanship, created for good works--created beforehand by God through Jesus Christ. He desires that we do those good works, not to earn salvation, but to show forth through good works the unique goodness with which he endowed his human creations.

Those good works will be done in faith, using the hope set before us (Heb. 6:18). What may seem to some to be the same works without faith are impossible to please God. Just as we mortals can detect inauthenticity in one another, how much more can God distinguish a loving, genuine human response working through His image versus an ungodly counterfeit human nature, seemingly doing a apparent, outwardly-good work, but without faith in Him! --Ephesians 2:8-9
