In Chicago, the CCHD-funded groups Southside Together Organized for Power (STOP) (which marched to chants of “F**k-12” against the police) and Organizing Neighborhoods for Equality Northside (ONE Northside) both called for the defunding of the Chicago PD and advocated for Black Lives Matter. The 4th of July weekend in Chicago left the city with 87 people being shot and 17 killed, including 7-year-old Natalia Wallace.

In other words, they are supporting organizations promoting drastic increases in murder, rape, theft, assault, destruction, and various other crimes and who want innocent people to live in terror under the control of criminals.

25 years ago I first became aware of CCHD and CRS funding immoral and leftist groups. Then it seemed the bishops were innocent, did not realize the details. After all this time, it’s impossible to say they are not complicit.
I financially support my parish, but I will not give to 2nd collections or annual appeal.
