Certainly not to defend the “too modern” music. (There used to be one song on Daystar I really liked - but I’m talking 30 years ago and don’t remember the title).

That church organization had all their own “modern music”. I too, prefer the old hymnals, most of the time.

However, with drums, it’s possibly not a bad thing to have the Plexiglas enclosure. The thunder can roll just too far.

We used to jam in my bosses basement on the weekends when I was in college. My guitar was never a problem. But the drum thunder would roll out of the basement, or should I say through the basement walls (lol) across a small ravine, through the trees and keep people awake late at night.

My boss eventually agreed to stop playing after 9 p.m. So we started shutting down at 9.

It wasn’t my singing or my guitar playing (LOL). It was the drums.

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
    praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
