You’re sure to get many converts with this...jackass.
Couldn’t wait to dance on his grave, eh?
If it was Mick Jagger instead of Eddie Van Halen, the exact same article would have had his name instead.
Delighting in the death of another is quite the Christian position indeed.
As a Christian, I can say with great certainties, that those who dont believe are always stuck on the fact God wasnt made in their image. And /or doesn’t grant wishes.
I got aquatinted one time.
My brother slipped up on me and put food coloring in my bath water... I came out blue.
...and lived this life till my ETERNAL salvation at 23,..
Calling the game a little early there, huh coach? :)
I’m glad you can predict with certainty your future actions and how God will judge you.
Pride comes before a fall.
And claiming you are SURE you have Eternal Salvation..that’s pride if I ever saw it.
Also, I wasn’t in Eddie’s head for his last thoughts. He may have begged forgiveness for his sins.
You take a lot of liberties.
But I’ll give you that “Dust in the Wind” is a depressing song.
Catchy tune, but depressing song.
It is a little late for Eddie, isn’t it? He already knows that the joy he brought people with his talents was a blessing.
And honestly, I heard a few women saying the Lord’s name while listening to his music. And I know a few men who mentioned God’s name while watching him play the guitar.
So, there is that.
I have to admit I never heard of the man until yesterday, but why use his death to make a point? For all we know, he’s in Heaven and more firmly in God’s grace than you or I.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Let’s give a thought to the bereaved.
Bottom line is none of us are righteous save for what Christs sacrifice on the cross to make us so if we believe and receive. I hope EVH asked forgiveness for his sins and let us All make sure we do too. Lord have mercy on us All who fall far short of His glory and righteousness. But for Jesus the Savior who we all so desperately need.
Please point out the error within the essay. Warning of eternal judgment is not a vice. It’s a demonstration of love. Uniquely conservative in caring for others. Eddie made his choices.
You are yet among the living with great opportunity before you.
Wanna know why people are turning their backs on organized religion? This type of article is why. Written by some narcissistic person who thinks they, and they alone, are Christian and anyone who doesn’t practice as they think people should isn’t a Christian. Judgmental people are sinners.
Who says he didn’t get right with God after his diagnosis. He had a long time to do so and it only takes a few moments to be absolved and to accept Jesus as your lord and saviour. Might not be in the full grace of God, but I’d like to think he’s not in hell.
You gotta strike while the iron is hot.
Or maybe he honed, through endless hours of disciplined practice, a God-given talent. Honed it into a tool to help make people happy. He certainly always looked like he was truly enjoying himself on-stage, and showed us a way to rise above petty day to day troubles and take delight in the music of the spheres for a few hours.
The error is that Eddie Van Halen wasn’t a believer..

And men, such as myself, who used the Name of The Son when talking about Valerie...
Jesus spoke about that when He said “Condemn not lest you be condemned”
