...and lived this life till my ETERNAL salvation at 23,..
Calling the game a little early there, huh coach? :)
I’m glad you can predict with certainty your future actions and how God will judge you.
Pride comes before a fall.
And claiming you are SURE you have Eternal Salvation..that’s pride if I ever saw it.
Also, I wasn’t in Eddie’s head for his last thoughts. He may have begged forgiveness for his sins.
You take a lot of liberties.
But I’ll give you that “Dust in the Wind” is a depressing song.
Catchy tune, but depressing song.
First of all you have to read the whole post then comment... this isn’t twitter peanut..
Secondly, Your problem isn’t with me my friend, so don’t be a hater..., sadly its your unbelief and it is with your ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Creator... The words I shared are Jesus’ so take it up with Him.
When you get a sec... read John 3:16-17, 1 John 4:10 and take heed, your death or even mine might be today... are you ready?
I am (1 John 5:12-13).
It's faith.
We can know that we are saved when we are born again. The change that happens in the person's life is evidence of that.
Plus God promises and assures us of it.
John 3:14-18 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
We are judged righteous in Christ, not on the basis of what we've done but on the basis of what JESUS has done for us.
We are saved NOW, not just as a future event that we have to wait to find out if we made it.
When you have the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ credited to your account (life), then God sees you as perfect and righteous as Jesus. Your sin is no longer counted against you because Jesus took the punishment for it so that you don't have to.
If God, then still held us accountable for our sin, then He would be unjust demanding payment for sin that was already paid for.
Good point. Eddie could have repented like the thief on the cross next to Jesus. I hope he did!
