They were still there in Acts 15 for the counsel in Jerusalem.
There was an Israeli state in the land of Israel 2000 years before the evil prophet of Islam allegedly flying on a "magical horse" from Mecca to Jerusalem.
The Palestinians are Arabs who were brought to the region by the Ottoman empire as part of the Muslim occupation in the region. They are definitely not the tribes from Crete who settled down in the 5 cities of Gaza strip after the Exodus of Israel from Egypt. These tribes were called Philistines and they werent Arabs at all and todays Palestinians are definitely not their descendants. The Philistines dont exist as a nation.
Israel isn't just a name of a state. It's first and for all a name of a nation (Am Yisrael). Israel is the name of the father of the nation (Jacob) and Israelis are his descendants. The real meaning of the word 'Israeli' is someone who belongs to the nation of Israel and not only "a citizen of a state called Israel".
Gentiles invented the word Jews. When the Persians, the Greeks and the Romans occupied the land of Israel they called all the Israelis in the name 'Jews' because at those days the tribe of Judah was the biggest and the dominant tribe which survived the exile of Assyria in which 10 tribes of Israel were exiled. The tribe of Judah lived in the Judean desert thus the gentiles who occupied the land of Israel called the members of this tribe (and also the ones of Benjamin and Levi who joined it) in the name 'Jews'.
When Israelis (Jews) who live abroad go to synagogue they don't read about Jews in the prayer books nor in the Torah but about 'The Nation of Israel', 'The Children of Israel', 'The House of Israel,'Shema Yisrael' etc. They are Israelis because they belong to the nation of Israel even if they aren't citizens of a state called Israel. Both the words 'Jews' and 'Israelis' refer to nationality, to ethnic identity and not to religion. Jews are members of the tribe of Judah and not "people who believe in Judaism". And the nation isn't called Judah but Israel, and so does the land and in the future the 10 tribes will return to this nation.
That's why Arab citizens of Israel don't define themselves as Israelis but as Arab/"Palestinian" citizens of a state CALLED Israel. They aren't members of the Israeli nation but of the Ishmaelite nation. Ishmael used to shoot arrows at Isaac (father of Israel) while saying: "I'm only playing..." That's why there's no "Israeli-Palestinian conflict" but a WAR that the Ishmaelite/Arabs opened on the Israelis. Also Muhammad murdered Israelis in Saudi Arabia who refused to accept his murderous pagan dream.
Couple of facts about Israel that the haters of Israel don't like:
1. Israel became a state in 1312 B.C., two millennia before Islam.
If I recall correctly, he himself said that nothing might happen. He also never made a prediction, against what Scripture says, that the Lord would return on such-and-such a date.
I believe the Lord has revealed things to and through him, including the message that He was sending through 9/11 as it connects to Isaiah 9. His identification of the Clintons as Ahab and Jezebel figures has always seemed the truth.
You are correct. It’s just that there have been numerous attacks and deliberate misquotes about what he said, I just didn’t feel like getting into that, as most of those already have thier minds made up.
All of that is well and good, but the Nation of Israel was still sent into exile from the Land of Israel for 2000 years. For those who believe in God’s covenant with Israel this must have been done by the will of God. Going back to the question posed by the article, why?
Lol...you got stones
Man Protestants today got serious chosen people envy
I didnt grow up with all that
The pre Hagee era
We didnt wish them harm especially so close to Final Solution time
But we also knew wha time it was
Strike one: Israel rejected God the Father when they ALLOWED the death of John the Baptist. Who preached the Kingdom and who recognized and preached Jesus as the Messiah when after His baptism by John, God announced “THIS IS MY SON. IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED.” Rejecting that message was rejecting God the Father.
Strike two: Israel rejected Christ and His earthly ministry. They DEMANDED His death. They rejected God the Son. That was Strike two.
Strike three: Israel rejected God the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. They were offered the Kingdom and promised Christ’s return if they would repent and be baptized, at which point they would receive the Holy Spirit.
They would not and their wrath against the believers grew worse and worse, until they actually KILLED Stephen THEMSELVES. Strike three. The Book of Acts is the fall of Israel because of their unbelief. And the beginning of the time of the Gentiles. Which is what Romans through Philemon are all about: what God was doing once He blinded Israel and set them aside because is their unbelief.
Their blindness will be taken away when the times of the Gentiles is complete, the Body of Christ is complete and is raptured. At which time God once again turns His eyes back to Israel and all prophecies are fulfilled: the tribulation and Second Coming and the Millennial Kingdom established.
One more thing: The three strikes and you’re out: 1. The Father. 2. The Son. 3. The Holy Spirit.
When they rejected the Holy Spirit there remained no other way to be saved. This is why Jesus said that all manner of sin would be forgiven except speaking against the Holy Spirit, which would not be forgiven in this world nor the world to come. Because there was no remedy left. Strike three you’re out.
Final solution time was 67-70AD - with the destruction of the temple and all sacrificial worship. We (gentiles) were grafted into the faithful remnant of Jews who had accepted Messiah. It really is that simple.
God’s best was not “good enough” for them. Jesus did not intend to come and merely save them from the current oppressors, or to “make all their dreams come true”. He has a purpose for His people and they resisted God at every turn, but for the faithful few that are spoken of in Scripture. God punished them, just as Moses warned, and they rejected the true prophets God sent to warn them. When they wouldn’t even accept the testimony of His own Son, you can tie this to the parable of the landowner who planted a vineyard and left it in charge of tenants who rented it. When it came time to collect the earnings from his vineyard, he sent men to collect. The wicked tenants beat one, killed one and stoned one, after which he sent his son, thinking they’d respect him, but they did not. They killed him, also, thinking they’d get his inheritance. This was a mirror of what was to come shortly thereafter, when the Jews rejected Jesus.
Jesus warned that the kingdom of God would be taken away & given to others who will produce fruit. Jesus tells the people with this parable that he who falls on this stone (Jesus, himself) will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls with be crushed. This generation rejected His Son and had the Son killed, but this was God’s doing so that not only would the nation of Israel eventually be saved, but some people from every nation, tongue & people. God temporarily evicted His people from the “land”, seeming to annul the the contract with Abraham, but what many scholars seem to forget is that Abraham was not a participant in that contract. God put him into a deep sleep. God’s contract with Abraham was not able to be broken bu man, although the promises of punishment for disobedience and devotion to Him would bring consequences of being deposed of the land until they called out and sought Him in earnest. God will restore them when they do that, and when He restores them we will gain much from this, as Paul told the believers in his day who thought as many do today that God is finished with Israel.
Basically, the generation of Jesus’ day stumbled over the Stone-Jesus. Those who were believers got out because of the persecution of the believers, whether they be Jewish believers or Gentile. This was before AD 70.
“I know, I know. We are Your chosen people. But, once in a while, can’t You choose someone else?” Tevye
I won't pander to your political correctness. I spoke the truth. You accusing me of thinly veiled anti-Semitism is something the anti-Defamation League or Uncle Leo would say - but it's a damned lie!
There are many Orthodox Jew in Israel that secretly believe that Jesus is Messiah so your comment is slanderous to them, as well as to Religious Jews everywhere - if you want to understand why do a little research on how the Nazis used Martin Luther's work ...
As I mentioned in my post, Nicodemus was a Pharasee who was a believer. I don't need you to tell me that there is a diffeence between anti-Christ Orthodox Jews and Messianic Jews!
As for Pharisees, you need to take it up with Paul, the Pharisee
No, I don't! Paul is my favorite preacher/teacher rabbi if you will. Yes, I know he was raised a Pharasee. He also understood that their is no salvation in the Law or Moses - there is no salvation in the practice of the Pharasees - there is no salvation in the practice of the Sadducees. Anti not only means "against" it also means "in place of". There is no salvation, justification, holiness, redemption - in Orthodox Judaism or any other religion.
The Pharasees and Sadducees hated Jesus because He told them the truth. If I'm hated for speaking the truth - then like Jesus, Paul and others who were hated by anti-Christ Pharasees and Sadducees (anti-Christ Orthodox Jews) - I'm in good company!
It's true that only Pilate could sentence Jesus to death but it's equally true that the Sanhedrin condemned Him to death, the latter of which holds the greater sin.
"Then Pilate said to Him, Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You? Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered me to you has the greater sin. John 19:10-11
"Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled. The chief priests and the WHOLE SANHEDRIN were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. (snip).... The high priest said to him, I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God. You have said so, Jesus replied. But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, He has spoken blasphemy! Why do WE need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think? HE IS WORTHY OF DEATH, .... - Matthew 26:59-68........"When the morning was come, ALL THE CHIEF PRIEST AND ELDERS of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death" - Matthew 27:1
You are a liar!
You are a liar!
