Father in Heaven,
On this Christmas morning the birth of our Savior is shaded by national outrages in Washington DC. Family joy is a facade over national mourning. Signs are unmistakable that a huge travesty was committed against our institutions and leadership. But its further sickening to see how the Republican senators are trying to dissuade the few who wish to obstruct the evil. McConnell, Cornyn, Thune, and the rest need their arrogance crushed.

As a Biblical comparison to this treachery I can only cite Absalom's supporters, many former members of David's inner circle. They're the disloyal folk who smiled towards David at an earlier time. Some say this psalm was written about their betrayal; some say it regards Judas

If an enemy were insulting me,
I could endure it;
if a foe were rising against me,
I could hide.
But it is you, a man like myself,
my companion, my close friend,
with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship
. . .
Let death take my enemies by surprise;
let them go down alive to the realm of the dead,
for evil finds lodging among them.
As for me, I call to God,
and the Lord saves me.


How disheartening this must be to such a man as our President. Yet, he should not be disheartened; his betrayers should feel the weight of this treachery several times worse. May they have no sunshine, no joy, and no happiness for such deeds. As Jesus said regarding his suicidal betrayer, it would have been better for him if he had never been born.

In the name of Christ this is proffered.

May our President, Donald John Trump, be given the blessing of greater revelation of Who You Are and that You will do exceeding abundantly beyond all he could dare ask or think. Give him an even greater zeal for You, Sir, filling him with Your Spirit so that he can pray in the Spirit. Help him to cast the whole of his cares upon You and then be still and know that You are God Almighty. You are the God Who “sees to it”. We believe this for our President, shouting, “GRACE”. to the mountains that stand in the way of his victory.

“And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”

Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
