Pop star Justin Bieber is reportedly studying to become a Hillsong church minister.

The news comes after the firing of preacher Carl Lentz, who was Bieber’s spiritual adviser after it was revealed Lentz had cheated on his wife.

A source told OK! Magazine that Bieber had no plans to give up his musical career, The New York Post reports.

The source said Bieber felt there was “a bigger calling out there for him.”

“He wants to be a full-fledged minister (in 2021),” the source said.

Bieber, 26, said Hillsong had “saved” him from his dark years of drugtaking, public meltdowns, arrests and erratic behaviour.

He became the church’s best-known member - and its most famous choir singer.

Other celebrities associated with Hillsong include Bieber’s wife Hailey and Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

Hillsong, which describes itself as a “contemporary Christian church,” was founded in 1983 in Sydney.

It’s since grown to include locations in more than 20 countries.

Very interesting. I’ll have to check out those artists as I am not familiar with them at all. I do remember when I was new in the church at the time in the mid to late 90s there was an older fellow musician and we jammed with each other and then joined the youth group band, he turned me onto some of the 70s Christian artists I never heard of before and they were great. Phil Keaggy, Keith Green, Randy Stonehill and Larry Norman were some I can remember. Thanks for rip down memory lane and God Bless you.

The “church” is a money-making fraud. Look up its founders, Bobbie and Brian Houston on Google. They’re sleazy NAR phonies who produce gigantic stage shows with loud music, special effects, and celebrities. One show in New York featured “Pastor” Lentz imitating the New York street performer the Naked Cowboy. He was wearing little more than boots, a cowboy hat, a strategically placed guitar, and underpants. Another show in London included a parody of Christmas carols. A performance of Silent Night featured dancers doing bumps and grinds in time to a 20s-style jazz baby rendition of the carol. It was hideous.

Houston’s pastor father was convicted in Australia of child sexual abuse. Houston denied it and kept it hidden from investigators. He doesn’t like it when reporters try to investigate the church’s finances.
