Didn't play well among her left-wing pals
Christian author Jen Hatmaker received the opportunity to lead a group of fellow left-wing progressive faith leaders in prayer Thursday at the National Prayer Service, an event held every four years the day after the presidential inauguration to honor and pray for the president and the country.
And now Hatmaker is mea culpa-ing all over social media for daring to thank God for giving America the land we have — and she's throwing event organizers under the bus for her troubles.
What did Hatmaker say?
When it came time for her to lead a prayer during the event, which was held virtually for the first time due to the coronavirus concerns, Hatmaker began by saying, "Almighty God, you have given us this good land as our heritage. Make us always remember your generosity and constantly do your will. Bless our land with honest industry and an honorable way of life."
Think about a time not that long ago in which that kind of prayer would have offended almost no one, no matter what their religious or political convictions might be.
“Progressive”, “Christian” in the same sentence.
It’s an oxymoron. Cannot and does not exist in the truest form.
TwinkleToes will eventually find that out.
Honesty and honor?
Two words that just dont describe progressives.
“Progressive” and “Christian” do not go together.
Progressive Christians are fools who don’t realize that their virtue-signaling only means that they are only delaying their eventual persecution by their Satanic “allies.”
Why would any Christian pretend to pray a prayer she didn’t write or apperantly read before she prayer it? She’s nothing but a useful idiot to the libs.
Hatmaker paraphrased the prayer “For Our Country” found in both the (Orthodox) 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the “progressive” and reductionist 1979 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer (which isn’t common prayer anymore). Had she prayed the entire prayer as written she probably would’ve been sent to the Gulags.
Not to mention on judgement day. She better check her “credentials”. Matthew 7:22-23.
