There were many heroes aboard that doomed ship. As just one example, the Titanic band did not panic. They continued to play as the ship sank. God bless them!

Now here’s an interesting - and disgusting - thing. All of the band members perished. And then their families were billed for the band uniforms! After all, the rented uniforms were not returned.

There were a group of guys shoveling coal into the boilers until near the end so the ship would have lights. They emerged from their station after it split in two. I don’t think any survived. They had to be perspiring when they came up.
