Comment isn’t dumb at all. God also gives people common sense and when something turns into a very bad deal for one side of the contract, which marriage is,
the people who know its a bad deal, shouldn’t take it, and advise others they care about not to as well.
It would ge a dumb comment if we still had biblical marriage. We do not anymore. We have state run gynocentric marriage today. We have marriage that you can leave because you’re bored now. 80% of divorces are instituted by women. Marriage isn’t failing because its the men are filing. And if you think just because you have been married a long time you’re okay, you’re dead wrong. The fastest growing area of divorces are in the elderly, ie grey divorces.
Its not anything I’d advise any man to enter into now. I wish I could, but that’s not what I think is good advice.

No, you are wrong. We were married at the altar of God and exchanged vows, "I take you to be my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." And we meant it.
