The western wall is the western wall of Fortress Antonia
The real Temple Mount is about 600yds down the hill from the southwest corner of the fortress. That would line up with the northwest corner of the Temple Mount in the City of David/the original Jerusalem
When Jerusalem was completely and totally destroyed, Josephus said that if you did not know where Jerusalem stood before the destruction, you would not be able to point out where it or the temple was.
The only thing left standing in 136AD was Fortress Antonia.
The city that was built around the old fortress was called Antonia Capitolina or what the world is calling it, Jerusalem.
Strange indeed. You’d think the Jewish people would know for certain by now where the real Temple Mount was located.
