VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis urged Catholics on Thursday to be “more courageous” in tackling the crisis exposed by COVID-19.
In a message to participants in the 49th Social Week of Italian Catholics issued on Oct. 21, the pope underlined the importance of face-to-face meetings as the world struggles to emerge from the pandemic.
“This is all the more necessary in the context of the crisis generated by COVID, a crisis that is both health-related and social,” he wrote.
“In order to emerge from this crisis, Italian Catholics too must be more courageous. We cannot resign ourselves and sit back and watch, we cannot remain indifferent or apathetic without taking responsibility for others and for society. We are called to be the yeast that leavens the dough.”
The Pope’s message — dated Oct. 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi — was addressed to Catholics gathering in Taranto, southern Italy, for an Oct. 21-24 meeting with the theme “The planet we hope for: Environment, work, future. Everything is connected.”

I wonder how many others like me who were lifetime Catholics, and at age 75 are looking for another church?
Why not the same effort for abortion and homosexuality?

The crisis was not exposed by COVID it like most other crisis was planned and carefully implemented by governments.

Wow. You're that old and it's never occurred to you that there could be another bad Pope, as there has been before? That the Church is not the Pope and vice-versa? That Jesus was not lying when he said the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church?

That’s some interesting clock ya got goin’ there, with 2400 increments that don’t correspond to minutes.
There’s 60 minutes in an hour X 24 hours, that’s 1440 minutes per day. Being right twice a day would make it 1438 times a day it’s wrong.
Keep in mind that a clock going backwards would be right far more often than one standing still.
Are you also a lifetime American and, at age 75, looking for another country?

Then let the critics of Noah... criticize Noah. Christ said “let the dead bury their dead” and He could easily have meant the spiritually dead such as apostate catholics and churchianity followers.
