It actually does matter. Adultery and fornication are a misuse of something GOOD. Sodomy etc. are intrinsically perverted and cannot be reframed.

There is a reason why the Davids and the woman caught in adultery get off a LOT easier than the residents of Sodom and Gomorrah.
