We set out to do good deeds for one person only to pass 100 more needy folks along the way

She reaches out to ‘steal’ healing for herself- thinking just the touch of the garment will be enough, and can be had before He notices- much the same way some folks thin that touching a ‘holy relic’ or drinking ‘holy water’ will will heal- but htis ignores the fact that we need to go directly and boldly to the Healer Himself, acknowledging that He is the source of healing, not some holy Relic- Folks need to get in touch with the Heart of the Healer, not the clothing-

She thought it was her hand making contact that healed her- Christ corrects her gently- telling her it was her faith- In the same way- Christ corrects us when we erringly do things we think are for ‘spiritual reasons’- our intentions are correct, our means not so much sometimes-

In this historical event, we learn that it is not the garment that healed, but Christ’s love- His kind, gentle heart connected with hers that day- His life, which is pure and free from disease, poured into hers that day- healing her in the process- In the same way- As we are sanctified, He pours forth His perfectness little by little into our lives as we learn and grow- transforming our sin laddened lives into obedient holy lives by matters of degree- not all at once of course- Living obedient to Christ is a lesson that takes longer than a lifetime to learn=-
