God Has Changed Your Diagnosis

What do I mean God has changed your diagnosis? In Genesis 17:4,5 God told Abraham that He had made him a father of many nations, but in Romans 4:19 the scripture says that his body was dead and his wife's womb was dead. Now, we know you can't physically be a father of many nations when you have a dead body and your wife's womb is dead. Despite that God said He had made him a father of many nations which means that God had to have done something about his and her bodies. Now, here's what you need to understand, God did not physically make him a father of many nations, but that's what he was in the spirit. Don't make the mistake of thinking of the spirit realm as less real than the physical realm. The spirit realm was first and the physical realm came out of the spirit realm. So, without the spirit realm there would be no physical realm. Now, when God does something in the spirit it has the ability to be manifested physically. Take God himself for example, John 4:24 says that God is a spirit and yet 1 Timothy 3:16 says that God(who is spirit) was manifested in the flesh(physical). Notice, what the word calls Jesus in John 1:14 the word(spirit) made flesh(physical).

Notice, even though God did something in the spirit it had no affect on him nor his wife physically because his body was still dead and her womb was still dead. Because when God does something for you in the spirit it's up to you to receive it by faith. But, what people do a lot of times is wait for God to do it physically. They wait until their senses can detect something before they believe God has done something. Notice, they had nothing in the natural to tell them that God had done something. That's why when it's by faith you don't look to your body to tell you if God has done something but, the word. The word tells you what God has done not your body. Your body can tell you when you have received something not if God has done something. Notice, in Romans 4:19 it says that Abraham did not consider the deadness of his body nor the deadness of Sarah's womb. He didn't put his focus on this physical realm. That's what the word says in 2 Corinthians 4:17,18 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Notice, in verse 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen so even though it's not seen(spiritual) he still calls it a thing which means it exists.

Notice, what God did He changed their names to fit what He promised for Abraham means-father of a multitude and Sarah means-Princess of nations. It's very important that you line your words with God's word even when things don't look like it. Romans 4:17 speaks of God calls things that be not as though they were. God call things that are not(manifested) as though they were(manifested). And that's what He is having them to do because physically they were not that. Just like in Joel 3:10 the scripture says, Let the weak say I am strong. Notice, God knows you may be weak physically, but He says don't speak that say I am strong. Well, the scripture says that the Lord is our strength and we know there is no weakness in God. Notice, what God is doing trying to get people to stop speaking natural facts and start speaking spiritual truth. Because, God works with your words so that makes your words very important. In Numbers 14:1-4 when the people murmured against Moses and Aaron notice God's response, He told the people that as you have spoken in my ears so will I do unto you. In Titus 1:3 it says that God manifests his word through preaching. That word preaching means to proclaim or speak out. Well, that's in line with what He says in Isaiah 57:19, I create the fruit of the lips. And in Proverbs 18:21 it says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. So, your words are very important in receiving from God.

In 1 Corinthians 1:28 it says that God hath chosen to use things which are not to bring to nought(nothing) things that are. God uses things which are not(manifested) that's spiritual things to bring to nothing things that are (manifested)that's physical things. God uses spiritual things to get rid of physical things by your words. Remember Abraham and Sarah they had to speak in line with what God said. Remember Joel 3:10 they were told to speak in line with what the word says. And it's important that you speak in line with what the word says and not present circumstances. God used "A father of many nations have I made thee" to get rid of the deadness in his body by his words. God used what the word says that God is our strength to get rid of weakness by their words. Because, in Isaiah 55:11 God says that his word shall not return to him void(without producing), but shall accomplish that which He pleases. His word returns to him by you speaking it and He tells you in Hebrews 10:23 to hold fast to your confession of faith. That word confession means to say the same thing so you are to hold fast to saying the same thing as God in faith because God is faithful. Hold fast to your confession that with his stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). Hold fast to your confession of faith that himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses (Matt. 8:17). Hold fast to your confession of faith that by his stripes I was healed (1 Peter 2:24). Hold fast to your confession of faith that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). That is done in the spirit right now. And God will use those things to get rid of your condition by your words. I am a first hand witness, when sickness attacked my body I held fast to my confession of faith and in a matter of time God manifested his word, He used what the word says about my healing to bring to nought what was going on in my body and I am still free all thanks be to God.

It is not God's will that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

Amen and Amen! This is what has derisively been called the “name it and claim it” belief, but it is indeed true. Yes, it has been abused by a few unscrupulous proponents, but that does not make it any less true. God’s Word is ALWAYS true, though every man be a liar. God has provided a way to not only deliver us, but to bring glory to Himself. Blessed be the Name of the LORD!

Bottom line God will do as he pleases regardless.....name it claim it just busy the minds of those not trusting God as I see it. We can certainly ask but He will always determine the outcome....even when we don’t ask.

Just ask Paul

1 Corinthians 12:7-10 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

My grace is sufficient is not the answer any of us want to hear, but is sometimes the answer we get.

I know far too many really godly people who struggle with health or have died from tragic illness at what we think of as too young an age, for prosperity gospel theology to be proved true.

Not to mention the injustice of blaming the sick person for their being sick. Talk about shooting your wounded.

What utter nonsense.

God did what he did for them because He promised He would. There is NOTHING in Scripture that supports your contention that it was their agreement with God that caused their bodies to change.

That is just unmitigated assumption that always results in bad theology.

There’s a world of difference between waiting on faith for something God has clearly spoken to you about and you deciding how God should be acting and the holding Him hostage to that because you have “faith” and think by doing that you can force His hand to move.

Abraham believed God because God told Him. Abraham did not decide for God how He should answer his need for an heir and then demand it of Him.

I think they often forget the natural God given flow of life as well. We can ask for things to be removed but he often seems to rather BE with us through it.

I’ve had my share of difficulties in life....enough my son asked why I had not resorted to alcohol or drugs. The answer was clear...it was and remains “The Lord Jesus Christ”.

I’ve never ever thought to question if my prayers are “in line” with anything in Gods word. I learned early in my walk he wants us to come just as we are, boldly even.... It’s a relationship after all. I’ve been angry with God because I know he already knows I am so why not be honest with him ...just as I am.

I was raised in a very devout Christian home, we are always taught that prayer should be respectful and tempered. At one point in my life I had a great crisis of faith. I wound up talking to my parents next door neighbor who unbeknownst to me was a retired military chaplain; that happened to be Jewish. He echoed your comments not exactly, but in thought and spirit. Being forthright and honest greatly improve my relationship with God, I’m still respectful in my prayers but I’m honest about how I feel.

Thank you for sharing.

Yep...just be yourself before Him. Just as you are and what you’re thinking and feeling.

I just talk with God a good part of my day....He’s always present and I love sharing as I would anyone else present in my life. I’m comfortable with God....and when I’m not He knows about it just the same.

I have learned the same thing.

Reading Scripture actually reveals that many godly people did the same thing. Habakkuk comes to mind as one example.

Jonah was pretty mouthy and unfiltered, too.

Expressing yourself to God, telling Him what He already knows is different than asking/demanding God for something that is against His will

Well I’ve heard people pray for that which is against his clear teachings plenty of times...(.just as a child would his parent even though he can’t understand the danger of his request.)

Our walk is “By faith believing” and we can trust Him for the steps we take...even if our decision is unknowingly wrong.
