Words to have meaning, but not in the context of what the article presents.

I would point out it was Jesus name that had power and only because a believer had faith in Jesus. Biblically it went very poorly for those who tested Jesus name against evil spirits without faith.

It was the spirit not the words that mattered.

And since Context of the article is that the priest did not baptize in the name of Jesus, but baptized as if the whole community was working in the name of Jesus.

That made the Baptism invalid, because I can’t on account your belief, similarly you cannot speak on account of mine.

The priest goofed it up because he presumed he could account for everyone.
