The Moscow Patriarchate’s external relations department said in a May 4 statement that the Pope’s words were “unlikely to contribute to the establishment of a constructive dialogue” between the Catholic Church and Russian Orthodox Church.
The Pope and the patriarch of Moscow and all Russia discussed the war during a video conference call on March 16. In an interview with an Italian newspaper published on May 3, Pope Francis said that “a patriarch can’t lower himself to become Putin’s altar boy.”

Bergoglio came out with some good and positive things yesterday, about meeting with the Russians (although it’s not possible) even though the Ukrainians are ramping up the pressure. Because the Ukrainians are very world-government, pro-gay, etc., they should be his faves. But maybe he’s having a burst of common sense.
One thing everybody says about Bergoglio is that he is so inconsistent.

The concept that the church was merely outward, not true, and the truth must be shed of the church to reveal itself is Gnosticism.
The absolute truth given to man though was from Christ Himself: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life... No man comes unto the Father but by me” echoed by St. Paul who wrote that the ultimate revelation is “Christ in you.” Not an esoteric Christ, not a Christ that will appear on CNN or MSNBC, but a risen Christ, as shown when Christ told St. Thomas to reach out, touch his hands and side, and see that He, risen, had flesh and bones.
It is hostility to this truth which compels Christ-hating revisionist modernists to fight the reality of the literal death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to try and replace the truth of the church of 2k years with human ideas, a man-centered Mass of Vatican 2 that hates the Good Friday Prayer, loves the abomination of Nostra Aetate, etc.

The Russia-Ukraine war has been on over two months now. Thousands of civilians have been killed and millions displaced by Russia’s invasion, which began on February 24.
