Moscow, May 8, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has conducted a liturgy on the eve of Victory Day at the main church of the Russian Armed Forces in Kubinka, Moscow Region, after which he responded to Western reproaches against Russia over its special operation in Ukraine.
"Russia does not wish to harm anyone, does not want to invade and occupy anyone, does not want to pump resources from anyone, as most rich and powerful countries of the world do, economically occupying weak and helpless countries. We do not need all this, we are self-sufficient," the patriarch said.
Russia needs only one thing - true freedom, independence from those world centers of power that are becoming hostile to it today, he said.
"We should consolidate all our forces - both spiritual and material, so that no one would dare to encroach on the sacred frontiers of our Fatherland. And my words are not what our opponents would like to describe as yet another militaristic speech by the patriarch, all of this is nonsense," Patriarch Kirill said.
Addressing the servicemen who attended the liturgy, he urged them to be inspired by the examples of St. Princes Dmitry Donskoy and Alexander Nevsky, Commanders Mikhail Kutuzov, Alexander Suvorov, Pavel Nakhimov, Mikhail Skobelev, Georgy Zhukov and the entire "brilliant galaxy of Soviet marshals, who ensured the victory over Nazi Germany in many ways."
I think ukraine would disagree with this assessment.
I think the former soviet satellite countries would also disagree with this assessment.
Riiiiight.
I do believe this speech is the prelate’s preventative measure to avoid being overcome by vertigo on St. Isaac’s Cathedral Colonnade
Ruck Fussia and it’s “church.”
“”Russia does not wish to harm anyone, does not want to invade and occupy anyone…”
These clowns never quit.

What then? Maybe the devil made them do it.
From Cape Dezhnyov in the east to the Elbe River in the West.
Now that’s just plain funny. As well as unbelievable
Lie, lie and lie.
Huh?
Must be some good hashish, or he is going the way of Brandon.

But many proPutin FReepers post the like.
Well, that is a line of reason that is very different.
Ok, granted.
So then if they say the same thing, which one are you disagreeing with on this point, then?
Its not like agreeing with them makes you something you’re not. Its agreement by coincidence.
However, you seem to be suggesting that God knew that all of those children would grow up to be wicked. Ok, if he’s all knowing (despite every evidence to the contrary), then I accept that argument.
There simply is no evidence to the contrary of God's omniscience since you do not know the big picture, as a exceedingly finite speck in humanity and the universe and time. Any argument against God's omniscience presumes you are omniscient.
Why then, am I not dead? I have sinned, quite enough to get me into hell. Why was I not killed at birth by God to save me from becoming the wicked sinner I am today? You are ignoring or failing to comprehend my paragraph in my reply which anticipated this typical objection. That you cannot accept the premise that an omnipotent and omniscient Being has a purpose for both taking innocent life as well as for the norm of giving man the ability to choose, and thus alternatives to choose btwn, and with consequences either way, it your problem, not that Being's.
“We certainly cannot argue that an omnipotent and omniscient Giver of life has no right to take what He gave” I certainly can sir, I most certainly can. Now here’s where my brain fails me, I’m sure there’s stuff I could quote and that. However, if God gave us life, then said life becomes ours, and no longer his to take away. If I give someone a present, can I turn up next week and say “sorry, I want it back”?
You can give you son the gift of a SUV but later take away his keys due to what he does with it. You are given the gift of life, with its abilities and respons-ibilities you never earned, as part of a loan, and God has the right to recall that loan. And that He has not despite your disobedience to conscience and express revelation is a manifestation of His long-suffering. mercy and grace.
Also, is it ok for my to kill my kids?
Non-sequitur. Are you the omnipotent and omniscient author of life, who can and promises to make all work out for what is Good?
