It’s about recognizing that they exist. They were pink triangles in WW2 camps. I don’t agree with them flying the flag at embassies. What matters is diplomatic engagement with nations that still put them to death for existing. That’s what Trump was doing. I have never been a fan of the rainbow flag or “new glory” (the rainbow flag with the blue field of stars) like the stars and stripes.
Honestly, gay people are cool. That's the libertarian side of me. I don't care what two consenting adults do in a bedroom. That's none of my business.
But the rainbow flag is propaganda. It gets annoying. That kind of thing is better for a gay bar so people know they are attracting that kind of customer. But we don't need parades and a month to honor their lifestyle.
