Germany's Catholic environmental Bishop, Rolf Lohmann takes a sceptical view of the debate on extending the operating lives of German nuclear power plants.

In perspective, he said, it is ethically imperative to "phase out sooner rather than later, as nuclear energy remains a risky technology."

Lohmann praised climate strike actions.

Germany's Catholic environmental Bishop Rolf Lohmann takes a sceptical view of the debate on extending the operating life of German nuclear power plants. It is true that "it would be wrong to categorically rule out this measure in an emergency", the auxiliary bishop from Xanten told the weekly newspapers "Neue Bildpost" and "Katholische Sonntagszeitung für Deutschland". However, from a perspective point of view, it is ethically advisable to "phase out sooner rather than later, since nuclear energy remains a technology fraught with risk. Moreover, the question of final storage remains unresolved."

Green energy is destroying the world and causing countless deaths, inflation and food shortages.

as nuclear energy remains a risky technology.

What, pray tell, is this individual's expertise to assess the risk of nuclear energy?

It would be far better for the good Bishop to confess the sins of the Church...

But, but, but Chernobyl! Never mind the fact that it was run by idiots and horribly designed with known flaws so the west would think their reactors are better. The U.S. Navy has operated nuclear powered aircraft carriers and submarines for decades without incident along with numerous civilian power plants and they have all been safely run. The left just can’t stand a better technology providing electricity we need than their precious “green” power

Anyone who follows this man and attends his church needs to stop. God created the resources we have on this earth to be used. Otherwise, why create them? Why allow man to discover them and enable man to invent uses for them? That bishop is an extremist and would probably allow others to kill you if he says you are hurting “mother earth”! That’s not Godly.

This is an absolute rebuke of Almighty God.

The Earth is God’s and He gave man full power over it.

God created the Earth as the domain of man. Man has been granted God’s own power over the Earth. God did not create the Earth as having higher worth and importance than man.

To place the Earth above man’s power makes this into “worship of the Earth” which is the worship of a false idol, a mortal sin.

“Thou shall not place other gods before Me”

Now do you believe me when I’ve been saying that environmentalism is a religion? It truly is. And it is satanic - worship of the creation instead of worship of the Creator.

Forgive me, for I have sinned. I often put my garbage into double plastic bags to keep it from smelling.
