Discipleship doesn’t change the Bible to fit the people; it changes the people to fit the Bible.
People are supposed to be conformed to Jesus Christ, not “the Bible”. Protestants assume that the Bible is the Christian Owner’s Manual, and that our job as Christians is to follow the directions therein. It isn’t.
