Haven’t we just beaten this horse recently?

amen!
Oh?
The same Jesus who had to touch the blind man for the second time? (Mark 8:22-26)
The same Jesus that was seemingly thwarted in doing miracles at home?
And he wrought not many miracles there, because of their unbelief. (reply #9)
Maybe you're just not being in the right LOCATION to see miracles... "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! (Matthew 11:21)
Remember HIS reply to Thomas - who doubted - "You see and believe; blessed are those who believe and don't see" <-- elsie's paraphrase)
works for me
But there are TWO kinds of tongues...
1 Corinthians 14:2
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
Please do not limit possibilities to only those that you have seen.
Yes among other things.
But the gift of healing as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14, I don’t see much evidence of.
I have met plenty of people who claim to have the gift of healing, but I certainly have never seen any evidence of it in either their lives, or their ministry. They are most certainly not dealing with truly terminal patients, nor those with conditions where improvements cannot be explained either by natural means or psychosomatic reasons.
More than 90% of such “healings” I have seen have been for a painful shoulder/hip/knee/whatever, and the people get prayed for and report an improvement of the pain, a very subjective assessment, and it’s declared that they have been “healed”.
“But there are TWO kinds of tongues...”
Ok, then why can’t people who claim these gifts manifest both kinds of tongues?
Is a person supposed to assume it’s just coincidental that they are only ever manifesting the kind of tongue that is completely unverifiable and easily faked?
I didn’t say anything was impossible; I’ve just not seen it, or any reasonable kind of evidence for it happening on any widespread scale today.
Yes. If it violates the personality of god, then the miracle is not from him. But for one to know that they have to know god. That is, they have to have a personal relationship with him. It’s similar to the relationship you have with other human beings. When someone says someone you know did something that you know they would never do, you can know that it’s a lie. But if you don’t know the person how do you determine if it’s a lie?
I have no evidence upon which to base a response.
I would also propose that many miracles are meant to be private. But some are public.
The word does say speaking in tongues is a witness to unbelievers, but God also says a lot of other things that it is private.
So that leads us back to your point, a relationship.
