However you ‘feel’ the Lord does ask us to pray for our leaders... (for our benefit as His family not necessarily theires).....it does NOT say we have to honor nor respect them. I believe this has to do with their salvation more than anything else as this scripture reflects.

As is written...1 Timothy 2:1-2...... “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for ‘all’ people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness....This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

I pray that they see the light of God and turn from their evil ways. That’s about all I can do.
