Miran Krikorian never thought his restaurant Taboon & Wine, located at the New Gate leading into the Old City’s Christian Quarter, would be targeted by a bunch of young Jewish hooligans. But that is exactly what happened on the eve of January 30 when his employees sent him an urgent message describing the attack and destruction caused by a group of extremist Jewish boys while customers, some of them Jewish, were sitting there.
“I was surprised that the Christian Quarter near the New Gate [about 50 meters from Safra Square], favored by the mayor as a favorite and safe place to hang out on weekends, when almost all the entertainment places in the west of the city are closed on Shabbat, turned out to be a not very quiet and safe place!” Krikorian said ironically.

Christians in east Jerusalem have complained of increasing attacks by Jewish extremists on their sites in recent months. Earlier this month, Jewish attackers desecrated a Christian cemetery on Mount Zion, where Christians believe Jesus’s Last Supper took place.

Extremists come in all flavors. And all extremists should be denounced.

There are no extremists in Islam. Islam itself is extremism.
Even worse for the conservative narrative, these Jewish thugs are usually ultra-Orthodox, not leftist or secular Jews.
Hitler also drew inspiration from American Indian reservations and British concentration camps during the Boer War.

I’m not Jewish. But I worked for awhile in an orthodox Jewish community. I was always treated kindly, and with respect. I have nothing but fond memories of that time.
But here’s the thing. Some of the community members held a subtle grudge against Christians. It was because Christians sometimes converted Jews. It was kinda like poaching, and they resented that.
Maybe that is what’s going on here.
Not Armenian Christians, but Western Evangelical Christians, believing their concept of “end of days” is near, are going whole hog in a massive, hugely subsidized, multi-pronged propaganda war, attempting to convert the Jews of Israel to Christianity. They just can’t stand that there is a Jewish state where Jewish people are safe to be Jews and stay Jews. This “oh, so loving” ever-increasing subterfuge, occasionally facade-covered assault is historically immoral and obscene.
