I’ve been through this extensively.
A born-again Christian has Jesus in his heart and is a child of God. I don’t believe a born-again Christian can be demon possessed because the presence of Christ by the Holy Spirit in his life and spirit expels any demon.
However, a Christian can still be oppressed by the devil usually because he is believing lies from which he needs to be set free.
Anyone can have a demon. They are immortal and outnumber all the humans on earth and every other planet in the universe.
RE: Anyone can have a demon
So, you believe that a Christian can be Demon-Possessed? ( that’s how I understand the term “Have a Demon “ ).
A true believer in Christ cannot be possessed. Now I would say many non-believers including FR non-believers who are lost and without Salvation most likely are possessed in some form or fashion.
This would be incorrect sir.
That’s a meaningless phrase that has recently been concocted by charismatics who are always seeking “power” to do things that the Bible doesn’t grant them. Neither that phrase nor that concept exist anywhere in scripture. It’s been devised as an end run around the fact that Christians clearly cannot be possessed by demons.
The phrase is also in vogue with some of the hyper-charismatic preachers who fancy themselves present-day “prophets” or even “apostles”, claiming to wield power that only the true apostles possessed for a time (limited to twelve men who knew Jesus in the flesh and followed him). This “having a demon” nonsense has been invented by them to give them an excuse to “cast demons” out of Christians, while still claiming they adhere to the teaching that Christians can’t be possessed.
from the comments I’m reading, it’s clear that no one has actually read the article. Kinda’ like Facebook.
You read it here first: Just like the devil can take over an Ouija Board, demons can gain control of large language models implemented on neural networks. This is how surprising and poorly understood instances of novel intelligent behavior are occurring.

Jack Hayford when asked if a Christian could have a demon, he replied “a christian can have anything they want”.
Believers that obsess on crap like this are usually pretty sad people. My ex-wife comes to mind. Could not come up with any real emotional connection or even a base carnal desire for her husband, but she sure went through her daily rituals like clockwork. And accused me of being in league with satan when I asked for some tenderness from my wife.
Focus on the Light brother. Obsessing on the darkness is not a good walk...
Food for Thought: Was Judas ever a Christian? He was around the influence of Jesus. This was truly a remarkable experience that had to have an impact on him. He was one the Disciples when they went out in twos did miraculous feats. He was not singled out nor denied this power. He had to have felt this awesome power of the Holy Spirit. But yet he was deceived in the mission of Jesus and a demon took advantage. Obviously he felt remorse at the thought of betraying his best to death. He committed suicide while grief stricken. Was there any hope for Judas after the betrayal?

Actually I said....”It’s easy for Satan to put “Ghosts in the Machine”(in response to the abnormal, anomalous behavior being exhibited by certain AI programs that Steve86 mentions...it rings true and I’ve read some things that the coders had noticed about these programs)
I think the basic tech for the Demonized coming “Image of the Beast” might well be in the process of being forged now.
Good point. Also consider the Israelites in their journey from Egypt who were first-hand witnesses to miracles and the actual presence of God. Despite all of the wonders they directly observed, many complained, and some even worshiped the golden calf.
That was the true tragedy about Judas. Had he stuck around to see Jesus Resurrected, I have no doubt Jesus would have sought Judas out and if Judas showed remorse and horror at himself, Christ would have forgiven him. He might have then become the greatest Preacher next to Paul. Alas even the prophecies were against Judas, right down to the 30 pieces of silver.
I don’t believe “a Christian can have anything they want”.
For instance, even if a Christian runs away from Jesus, I believe because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice which makes a Christian righteous forever and God standing by his New Covenant by which he does not remember our sins and iniquities, they will still go to heaven.
Same with being demon possessed. It helps to know the truth because the truth is light and sets you free.
Also consider Aaron, Moses older brother. He was chosen as High Priest to the Israelite nation, yet he forged a golden calf for the people to worship. What was his punishment and why did God not remove him from office over this blasphemous act?
That guy gives me the creeps.
