Satan is a liar. I always knew about how Satan lied that Eve would not die, but just now while typing this I realized that he also lied about Eve (mankind) knowing good and evil. Obviously not all of us know good from evil.

I think the first you were correct, “knowing good and evil”;
compared to your second, “know good from evil”. They already knew and experienced good but they did not know or experience evil.
