Before euthanasia became legal in certain countries, I used to hear that the highest suicide rate in the world was in Sweden. Some suspected it was due to the long dark winters.
Now, we have approved corporations of assisted death popping up. This trend is not strongly influenced by seasons, be they light of dark. This trend is driven to some degree by people who have lost all hope. For those with terminal diseases, that’s a different story and an individual’s decision.
Canada is just a loser nation, Quebecois even more so. Nothing good has ever come out of Quebec.
