Notre Dame lost a big percentage of their donor and fan base and has not won championship in any intercollegiate sport ever since. There has been a curse on Notre Dame and have a feeling the Dodgers will experience something similar.
Flyers did the same. Curse of Kate Smith, they were the first to remove a statue from the stadium( in the dead of night) to boot. City hasn’t won a championship since.
