"What evidence are you referring to"

Evidence that the world is more than 6,000 years old, as creationists claim. Evidence that animals adapt to their environments, and therefore evolve. I don't think that evidence defies religion, by the way. Only our interpretation of what we think we must believe in order for God to exist.

Evidence that animals adapt to their environments, and therefore evolve.

Adaptation due to variation within species does NOT = evolution.

That is a baseless assumption.

Every instance that I ever heard of where there is a change in the number of chromosomes within an individual in a species, results in deleterious mutations and often a severely decreased chance of survival or growth into adulthood.

Most genetic mutations that change the number of chromosomes in people result in mental retardation and/or infertility.

I'm a firm believer in creationist, It doesn't take that to believe in creationism. There are lots of things that we do not understand about the Bible. One of those things may be our interpretation of what the Lord views as what a year represents. I mean they lived for hundreds of years, the oldest 969 years. Bottom line is time is irrelevant.

Some do evolve, even humans have changed. But supposedly we were not as backwards as we once believed.

Let's be honest the Bible was written by humans. Therefore it's quite possible that the transcription process could be somewhat incorrect according to what the Lord's true meaning was. In addition, it has been translated from one language into other languages. Man is not perfect. But the basic message has remained fairly constant. Interpretations vary in vast terms, because there are those who choose to deceive, as well as, those who have a hard time understanding the Lord.

I've never thought either the Big Bang Theory or the theory of evolution negated creation, and that creation was the work of an intelligent being.

In other words, what matters most is that you believe, and that you order your life accordingly.
