Last Sunday, former head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Mark Hanson preached a sermon at Elk River Lutheran Church in Elk River, Minnesota, where he went off on Jesus, describing him as mean, cruel, troubling, an advocate of Nimbyism (Not in My Backyard) and quite frankly, even a little racist.
It’s no big surprise, as the (ELCA) is functionally one of the most heretical and demonic denominations in America. It has denigrated to one massive pen for goats, run by spiritual criminals and hirelings, with barely a sheep to be found anywhere. Recounting the story of the Syrophoenician woman in Mark 7, Hanson spends half the sermon condemning and belittling Jesus for how he treated her. He describes Jesus’ behavior towards her as “despicable” and suggests he echoes the same attitude towards her that bad people have towards immigrants and children who are gender-transitioning.
Hanson concludes his sermon by revealing that Jesus eventually relented from his cruelty and “changed his mind, changed his heart, changed his attitude, changed his action.”
Wow, even though this man is a complete jerk, Jesus will forgive him ,if he asks.
Some choose to see more good in this evil world than they do in the Lord. This is what you must do to be loved instead of hated by this world.

This is certainly a STFU moment. And there are so many nowadays, every idiot in the world seems to figure now is the time to unload their incoherent nonsense.
It makes no sense for Christian ministers to be dissing Jesus, it’s sort of like if Colonel Sanders came on TV and said, “True story, I hate fried chicken.”

As for Jesus forgiving this guy:
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mt. 5:19
Sins of ignorance and lack of will are completely forgivable (thank God). Teaching against God’s law is another thing. I’m not saying teaching against God’s law isn’t forgivable, but notice the verse combines both actually breaking God’s law AND teaching others to do so. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. Don’t think he doesn’t harden the hearts of others.
I bet not one person got up and walked out in the middle of his “sermon”. I certainly would have, and not quietly.

We will all have things to answer for on the other side, but Mark Hanson is running up quite a tab.
De facto, they already have; there is complete sharing between the two with memorandums of understanding. They are like the Chevrolet and Buick divisions of GM.

This alleged pastor shows total ignorance of the wording of both the Greek New Testament and the original Aramaic, which is probably the Language Jesus spoke during this encounter.
Jesus was making an incredible pun, and the woman knew it and continued in that vein. (We call that “riffing”)
The word Jesus used for “dog” was not the word for “bitch” or even the word that was a perjoritive for Gentiles. It was the dimumitive, meaning “little dogs”. The closest thing we have in English would be “Pups”, “doggies” or “pooches”.
Of course, there WAS a pun, because the perjoritive for “Gentiles” was “Dog”, which wasn’t a nice kind of dog at all.
We still have that division in our world. There are the wild, scary, feral dogs that hunt in packs and hurt people.
Then there are the “doggies”. These are the dogs that live with us, eat with us, curl up on the couch with us, and sometimes even work with us.
The Gentile Woman was able to pick up on this right away, and responded accordingly. She spoke of the Puppies that gather under the children’s table for the bits that fall to them. I suspect that the kids were surreptitiously handing the bits to the puppies, because they love them so much.
Evidently this Gentile Woman was able to understand Jesus better than this seminary graduate.
Or perhaps she wasn’t listening through a left-wing, woke, perpetually offended filter.
