Andy Stanley is finally sharing his thoughts about criticism over his involvement in a recent conference for Christian parents of what the megachurch pastor repeatedly referred to as “gay kids.”
Stanley, whose North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, hosted the Unconditional Conference last week, spoke candidly to his congregation in a message Sunday that, unlike the rest of the church’s sermons, was not live-streamed on North Point’s digital platforms.
In an audio recording of the sermon leaked to social media, Stanley addressed a number of topics, including the controversy surrounding the Unconditional Conference and the church’s theological stance on marriage.
The 65-year-old Stanley began the message by explaining why the church opted not to stream the sermon as usual.

Gore Vidal said precisely the opposite. Vidal said that no one “is” homosexual. But plenty of people — himself included — engaged in homosexual behavior. It’s all about the behavior.
“Coveting” is an “attraction” too.
And we aren’t supposed to do it.

I wonder what life experienced he had that made him take a contrary gospel to his father?
No matter who is speaking about being gay it is always framed and spun as slightly better then heterosexuality. So tired of everyone working so hard to convince me it is great and they want my unwavering approval, well it is not going to happen.
Just like when he says The Bible does not say, John says... It is a way to try and sound smart but comes across as foolish.

He’s wrong.
DEAD wrong.
It’s behavior and it’s sin and needs to be confessed and repented of.
Nobody goes around claiming they are a Christian extortionist, Christian Prostitute, Christian drug dealer, or a Christian thief.
We don’t affirm and accept and celebrate in others the extortion, prostitution, drug dealing, or stealing.
So why are Christians so willing to give one of the more egregious sins a pass?

Homosexuals are not more virtuous than everyone else.

Why? You’re on record as stating willful, UNREPENTANT sin won’t keep a Christian out of heaven. That is what OSAS/OJAJ means, is it not? God’s law only applies to the UNSAVED, right? Why would any Christian homosexual have anything to worry about?
