They are silent because they are empty; the “social club churches” have people, but they aren’t religious - abortion is fine.
Abortion is so clearly wrong..... evil. It doesn’t take much to expose the horror. Yet so many tip toe and refuse to call it out for what it is.....murder. We go gentle, “anti-abortion.”
Yet, the silence from the pulpit is so wrong. My only conclusion is that the church is a business and the congregations are customers. They don’t want to lose customers by possibly offending them. Is there another reason?
And this is NOT how the New Testament church was supposed to operate.
Have Christian parents been too afraid to teach their children?
I have never attended a church that doesn’t condemn abortion.
Most churches have sold out long ago. If they speak up they lose their tax exempt status.

We had a priest who often and vehemently, and with calmness and reason, preached on the evil of abortion. He was shunned by his Order and ostracized by the Archbishop.
