Normalizing Sodomy: The True Legacy of Francis

A few days ago, the head of the former Holy Office, Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, went out of his way to let the world know that single mothers who repent and confess their sins should be allowed to receive Holy Communion. NEWSFLASH to Cardinal Victor: The Catholic Church has never said otherwise.

I was educated in Catholic schools from the first grade all the way though Catholic university, and I never heard any priest, sister, or lay professor even suggest that an unwed mother was to be considered excommunicated and therefore cut off from the Sacraments.

So, what is this apostate clown talking about?

The rhetorical technique is called a “straw man argument,” and it is Team Francis’s go-to play every time they’re about to throw another doctrine under the electric bus.

This morning, we learn of a new Vatican Declaration on “blessing gay unions”, which Team Francis insists does not change the Church’s “doctrine regarding marriage.” Well, of course it doesn’t! That was never the issue, and they know it wasn’t! That’s just a little thing they do, whereby they drape the front door in an obviously orthodox cover so that they can ramrod the real objective through the backdoor.

The problem is, they are counting on a pandemic of theological illiteracy to leave most Catholics consoling themselves with the thought that: “Well, God be praised, Team Francis is defending marriage again!”

And in anticipation of the inevitable response from faithful Catholics to their latest outrage, Team Francis goes on to insist that this blessing of gay unions “does NOT signify approval of the union.”  Good to know! So, how about we submit another dubia to Team Francis, asking them to clarify whether or not it is okay for the Church to bless pedophile priests who hang NAMBLA flags off the front porches of their rectories. Would that be okay? If not, why not?

How about a little Vatican blessing for Neo-Nazis who scream into their megaphones that Jews are subhuman? Can the skinheads count on Team Vatican to show a little mercy on them, too? If not, why not?!

What Team Francis is doing here couldn’t be any more obvious. They are obviously trying to normalize sodomy and to undermine the biblical teaching against it. And they're counting on a pandemic of theological illiteracy to leave most Catholics consoling themselves with the thought that: “Well, God be praised, Team Francis is defending marriage again!”

Meanwhile The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC get it exactly right: “Pope Francis Allows Priests to Bless Same-Sex Relationships” and “Catholic Church changes doctrine on former ‘sin’ of sodomy.” And that’s what Team Francis is going for – the media takeaway: “The rigid Catholic Church has finally gotten over herself. Even the pope is blessing the sin that the silly old Bible says cries to heaven for vengeance.”

Keeping our heads buried in the sand will not change what is happening here. Neither will it protect us from Team Francis, which now presents a clear and present danger, not only to souls, but to the civil liberties and freedoms of every man, woman, and child in the world today.

And after a few years of this, blessing gay unions will have become as common as Communion in the hand. This has been the Vatican's M.O. for years: Approve the abuse but "only in certain circumstances" and under certain “very strict” conditions until, finally, the abuse becomes the norm, after which the Vatican can ban the traditional practice.

And the issue with blessing “same sex unions” has downright dangerous ramifications for every faithful bishop, priest, and home-school parent in the world. Moving forward, if they resist the pope on this one, well, obviously, they’re haters and homophobes, and the pope himself will be first to bless the FBI agent who throws them in prison.

Your Church can offer you sanctuary no more. And keeping our heads buried in the sand will not change what is happening here. Neither will it protect us from Team Francis, which now presents a clear and present danger, not only to souls, but to the civil liberties and freedoms of every man, woman, and child in the world today.

For God’s sake and the sake of your children, resist this papal menace with everything you’ve got, and pray for the conversion of Francis.  “From Francis and his works and pomps, libera nos Domine.”

The title is pretty much the epitomy of Francis’ reign.

If the pope values consistency, he should allow the blessing of couples who engage in opposite-sex fornication, as long as the blessings are not made to look like wedding ceremonies. After that, there are the blessings of threesomes, minor-attracted persons (MAPs) with children, and so on. Who knows? Someday soon, maybe in our lifetimes, we may see a new sacrament: abortion.

I probably know less about catholicism than anyone in the world but surly the catholic bible does contain the books of Genesis and Romans.

Those two books are pretty clear on what God thinks about this subject.

The argument I’m hearing these days is “love is love no matter who is in love with who”......well......no

No one escapes judgement, not even the pope.

One could even say "especially not the pope". It is said that the floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of bad bishops.

As a Catholic, I am absolutely flabbergasted that the pope would take such a step to normalize immoral, perverted, and anti-Christian behavior. The pope should resign in shame, the Cardinals should boot him out if he doesn’t. Maybe, like that Turkish lawmaker last week, the pope will be struck down by God.

the catholic bible does contain the books of Genesis and Romans.

Our Bible contains more books than yours contains. ;'}

Your Bible and ours contain Leviticus and Deuteronomy, as well as Genesis and Romans. And they say the same thing ...

Be not deceived: The people who promote sodomy aren't unaware of what The Bible says about sodomy. They REJECT what the Bible says about sodomy.

Next, will the pope offer last rights to unborn babies being killed and absolution to their murdering parents?

Bergoglio will go to meet his Maker when God is finished chastising us with him. Meanwhile, let us take Bergoglio’s scandalous and blasphemous conduct as an incentive to learn more deeply and practice more faithfully the true teachings of the Catholic Faith, handed down from the Apostles to us.

My financial support of the Catholic church just ended.

I hear arguments that there have been corrupt popes in times long past, and yet Christ’s church survived and will yet rise from the sinful ashes of Francis. That may well be true, but I will not be an enabler of this pretender any longer.

While we all have sin, I do not condemn, but I will not support and encourage obvious spiritual error. My prayers are with the Church and our corrupt generation. I fear it will take a major upheaval to right the ship.

Pray for their repentance and conversion. The road they are on leads straight to Hell.
