Reflecting on the past several decades of Western culture reveals a strategy at play among those driving the revolution. First, there have been efforts to make sure the broader society sympathizes with their struggles—both of a personal and societal nature. (And Christians surely ought to lead the world in sympathy, but only of the Christlike sort.) Second, there was and is a clear desire to normalize homosexuality and transgenderism through media and individuals’ platforms. And third, there has been and continues to be a concerted effort to demonize those who oppose the revolution. Dissenters will be canceled at a high cost.
Writing on the state of Western civilization a little more than a decade ago, English journalist Melanie Phillips observed, “Society seems to be in the grip of a mass derangement.” There’s a “sense that the world has slipped off the axis of reason,” causing many to wonder, “How is anyone to work out who is right in such a babble of ‘experts’ and with so much conflicting information?”

A youth pastor I knew wrote a book about the internet and becoming an adult. Back in the day of Joseph and Mary they were adults at 14 years old because the entire community shared the same values and what was right.
Now the age of being an adult is something in the low 30’s for men in the USA. Pretty soon the younger folks will be children until they die of old age.
Thank goodness that by then the government will have all the control and resources it needs to take care of them their entire lives.
almost EVERY moral failure of society that I was told growing up “could never happen here” has, is or is about to. no wonder people like their animals better.

People never really understood the depths of depravity of the human soul.
50 years ago or so, it was incomprehensible as there was still enough Judeo-Christian thought and morals in society.
Not any more and we see the Enemy come roaring in to fill the vacuum and are now seeing the fruit of it.

Had never heard of the author quoted at the beginning, Melanie Phillips, but those quotes are excellent. I read that she’s a cancelled British Jewish author whose 2018 book is entitled, “Guardian Angel: My Journey From Leftism To Sanity”. Will have to find out more about her.
A late Catholic priest, Fr. Vincent Miceli (1915-1991), one of the good Jesuits and a student of history, wrote that right before a civilization collapses, homosxuality reaches plague-like proportions. We are there unfortunately. Maybe we’re in apocalyptic times. If not, either the people return to sanity or the whole thing’s gonna come crashing down.

Almost exactly 50 years ago, as a mid-teen, I recall one day walking down Main Street, lined by churches, in my home town and thinking ... "Where is all this 'sin' these churches keep talking about?"
I guess that question got answered.

You are correct. Society is slowly collapsing before our eyes. At this advanced point of corruption and decay, only a miracle of God could save America. But the people would have to be willing to turn to Him. I don’t see it happening. The best thing anyone can do at this point is make right with God and pray without ceasing.
