The Red Heifer, the Third Temple and End Time Prophecy

“Red cows.” Hamas leaders say that was the reason why they massacred innocent Israelis on October 7th.

According to the Bible, a perfect red heifer is required to cleanse the Temple and the priests. Jerusalem doesn’t have a Temple but it has the Temple Institute and it has red heifers thanks to a Texas rancher who is a Christian.

Biblical explanation: In the book of Numbers chapter 19, Israel’s priests were commanded to take a perfect red heifer outside of the camp and slaughter it. Then they were to burn the animal and mix the ashes with water. This mixture was then used to cleanse the tent of meeting where the Ark of the Covenant was located.

When King Solomon built the first Temple, it had to be cleansed with the ashes of a red heifer. Solomon’s Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 587 BC. The second Temple was built by Zerubbabel, but it became known as Herod’s Temple because of his elaborate renovations. Again, this Temple was cleansed by the ashes of a red heifer.

Herod’s Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.

The Third Temple: Jesus prophesied that a desecration of the temple would occur during the tribulation (Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4) Therefore, the Third Temple must be built. Which means a red heifer will be needed.

The problem: The Dome of the Rock sits on the Temple Mount in what many believe is the site of the former Temples. Plus, the Al Aqsa Mosque is also located on the Temple Mount. Muslims call the Dome of the Rock the third most holy site in Islam.

Hamas explanation: One hundred days after October 7th, Abu Obeid, a military spokesman for Hamas, posted a video on X and said the aggression against “our path and Al-Aqsa” reached its peak with the “bringing of red cows.” This is why they called their attack “the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.”

He was referring to the 2022 arrival of five red heifers. The heifers are now 3 years old — the age when they could be sacrificed. Hamas sees this as a threat to their holy sites because if the priests sacrifice a red heifer, can a Temple be far behind? Red cows appeared to be extinct in the Middle East that is why they searched outside of the Israel.

Red heifers explained: Everything in the Old Testament Temple worship was a shadow of its fulfillment in Jesus. Jesus is called the sacrificial Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Temple lamp stand — Jesus called himself the Light of the world. There is only one way into the Temple — Jesus said “I am The Way” and “The Gate.” The table of showbread in the Temple — Jesus called himself “the Bread of life.”

The red heifer also symbolizes Jesus.

1. Red is the color of blood. Isaiah 1:18 says, “…Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” “Jesus became sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

2. The red heifer must be perfect. A wrong color hair or a spot or a blemish and the heifer is disqualified. Jesus was perfect — without sin.

3. The heifer must be 3 years old. Jesus’ ministry was 3 years.

4. The heifer must be slain outside of the camp. Jesus was crucified outside of the city.

5. The purpose of the heifer’s death is to purify the Temple. Jesus’ death purifies our body which is the Temple of God.

Numbers 19 also says that the priests must find a red heifer that has never been under a yoke. When Moses came down from the top of Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments he found the Israelites had created a Golden Calf and were worshipping it. Israel had rebelled against God by throwing off the yoke of heaven. It is believed that the red heifer serves to atone for the spiritual chaos brought into the world through the golden calf at Mt. Sinai.

According to the Mishnah, the ceremony of the burning of the red heifer took place on the Mount of Olives. Rabbi Mamo recalled the writings of the Jewish sage Maimonides, who counted nine red heifers from Moses to the time of the Second Temple.  The next heifer would be the tenth and the Temple Institute believes that the it will be prepared by the Messiah.

According to CBN, some Israelis believe that it's very likely that the red heifer sacrifice would happen sometime between Passover, 2024 and possibly Shavuot, 2024.

Look, the devil knows his time is short. So he used Hamas to start a war in order to delay the Temple Institute from rebuilding the Temple.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

I still maintain that the Temple did NOT stand on what they call the Temple mount. I hope Israel wakes up and realizes that before they start trying to build a new Temple. Heck, they could start building right now if only they’d wake up to that fact.

The Gazans tried to invade Israel unarmed in 2018.

The Israels turned them back.

The Gazans came armed this time.

I’m sure I read ‘somewhere’ just a few days ago that this is going to be attempted again this Passover. Here’s a couple of articles related:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/ben-gvir-faces-dilemma-as-activists-ask-to-hold-passover-sacrifice-on-temple-mount/

Also saw a Youtube vid about the UNDOF building on Hermon related to this and the future false peace treaty Israel will sign.

So if it weren’t for that they’d all be living in peace forever?

BS. This may have been the most immediate “trigger” but the bottom line is they want all the Jews dead.

“I still maintain that the Temple did NOT stand on what they call the Temple mount. “

Interesting position and one I’d not heard before. Where is it you believe the temple stood.

There are many who have theorized that the Temple stood to the south of the current Temple Mount, in what is called the City of David. The arguments made for that view have to do with the location of the Gihon Springs and various passages in the Bible, especially the one where Jesus said, “not one stone will be left upon another.”

Some Christians who want to speed up the “End Times” and rebuilt Temple imagine the Temple site is southwest of the Old City in what is called the City of David. The reason for such imagination is to avoid Muslim objections and control of the traditional Temple Mount site.
