And the beat goes on, when will it ever end, these Bishops and Catholic organizations are hypocritical and do not abide by the Catholic Faith and its teachings.

Catholic Organization praises pro-abortion, Catholic NJ Governor, James E. McGreevey. Catholic Hospital awards pro-abortion NJ Assemblywoman.

This is an absolute disgrace . . . it's going to everyone on my list right now. Smith is my Bishop. He can count on hearing from my entire family on this one.

Seriously, I wish all those who don't want to be Catholic would just say so and leave the Church until they recognized the TRUTH.

It seems what happens is that everyone wants to be tolerant and forgiving of sin and I believe that is what should happen when the sinner is truly repentant.

Those who flout their sin like it was a virtue should be told a few times what they are doing wrong and asked to repent and if they don't they should get the boot with an assurance that the door is always open when they understand.

Damn! I think I'm getting radical but I'm so sick of all these 'catholic' people who say they don't have to follow the beliefs of the Church. I'm sick of hearing about gay priests and pedophiles. I'm sick and tired of being asked for money in the name of Catholicism from people who act all pious and live outside the teachings of the Church. I'm just sick to death of the hierarchy letting this go on whether they are complicit or just turning a blind eye out of weakness or fear.

We need bishops and cardinals with booming voices shouting out the doctrines and tenets of our faith. They need to forget about money, social acceptance, politics and political correctness and live and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm sick and disgusted.

Thanks for the ping. This is truly a disgusting situation. My father-in-law just spent a couple weeks at St. Francis Hospital and this is my diocese - so this all hits close to home. I may have to rethink how much I put in the weekly collection basket and the annual Bishop's appeal. I realize that would be an "un-Christian" act, but I'm at my wits end as to what to do with our liberal American Catholic church.

Yes we need bishops and Cardinals to do so but the ones we have now, don't seem to be doing their jobs.

Make sure you let them know why you are withholding the money, a copy of this thread is a good start.

Seriously, I wish all those who don't want to be Catholic would just say so and leave the Church until they recognized the TRUTH.

They don't because they hate the TRUTH and are trying to tear down the Church from the inside. They will never leave unless they are forced out. Get crackin'!

Oh, and any time someone from Catholic Charities or one of these other fake, phony, fraud organizations asks you for money, send a check to one of these two places and tell them you sent their donation to an organization that upholds Catholic teachings:

Franciscan University of Steubenville

Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter

Good idea and I also think that some of us Freepers ought to get the thing about copper Sunday out to the media. Let other faithful Catholics know that it will be a time for their voices to be heard loud and clear and they don't even have to open their mouths.
