In terms of the deepest meaning of American pluralism, those who make the latter choices enrich us all because they allow individuals to realize the fullest potentials of their choices. Where would Judaism be without its Talmud Torahs and its Yeshivas? Where would secular humanism be without its Harvard? Where would American Catholicism be without its truly Catholic institutions of higher education?

Where would America be without ANY civilisation we inherited from Christendom?

I fail to understand how disparate groups each making "choices" acording to their various philosophies "enrich" us at all. Unless one lives in Christendom (and we no longer do) all these "choices" mean nothing, as our deracinated culture continues to plunge into evermore dark, violent, and delusional activities.

I found it ironic that a non-Catholic is lecturing the Cardinal Newman Society about how crucial it is for a Catholic to present the fullness of the Faith.

True. I almost gave up after the first few paragraphs. After reading the article, I'd bet that the initial paragraphs represent a semi-conscious, cowed genuflection before the altar of multiculturalism.

Ironic. But he did a pretty good job of it.

The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops should invite this man to speak at their next conference. I read the words of the "expert",the power group presented, representing academia at one of their recent Conferences. I wish I could remember his name. However,he was pathetic, the swishops were looking to continue to block the directives of the Vatican to implement Ex Corde Ecclesia and so they managed to have this very inept, actually either very stupid or very evil, profesor speak to them about the need for teachers and professors to have "academic freedom". And how,to that end, they could not require a Mandatum, professing their Catholicism. He intimated it might hurt the ability of Catholics schools to be accredited and more blah, blah.

After listening to him,I was actually embarrassed to be Catholic. I had already concluded that many bishops had lost their faith, that they had lost sight of their primary objective to save souls, that they countenanced immoral behavior on the part of the priests and laity, that many were marxists, that many were ignorant about the extent of liturgical abuse, catechetical error and false gospels preached in their dioceses, that some had been seduced by the devil, that some were just human, had sinned and were being blackmailed and that some were just very weak and didn't like confrontation.I thought I had considered every possible reason that repeatedly, those who count the votes claimed, more than one half of the bishops had by various means disobeyed requests that were Catholic in favor of their own agenda. But I actually had never considered what became clear to me at that time, which was that many of them were just merely stupid. Now that is really frightening!!

I do believe that Christ will be with the Church to the end and I do know that many of our Bishops are holy and intelligent men,we need to pray that they prevail,in America and save our Church for our children.
