For anyone considering this: just visiting Franciscan U. is an inspiration. I have a friend whose son attends, and have been there several times. It's great to be there when the kids are in session, and also when they're off, because of the peace quiet and holiness of the place. You'll be impressed if you go, and it's easy to find. Even though it's 18 years off, I plan to use this trip to do a little advance scouting for colleges for our little one. I'm certainly not going to send him to any of the formerly-Catholic universities, like the one that I went to in Chestnut Hill, MA...
