"Eternal Father, I offer to you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, for our sins and those of the whole world; by the sufferings of his Passion, have mercy upon us and upon the whole world" (Diary, 476)

Jesus, I trust in thee.

I absolutely love the Divine Mercy chaplet and story. It is truly an image for our times; a time in which, as the Holy Father pointed out, we need mercy more than ever. Through the cloud of darkness that has spread across the earth, shine the rays of mercy from Our Lord.

The pope, two years ago, declared the first sunday following Easter, as Divine Mercy Sunday. I went to church that sunday, anticipating to at least hear some mention of this, and, at best, to see the image of Divine Mercy. There was nothing - no mention, no image, no chaplet.

Did any of the other posters hear this message on that day?

"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world."

My parish(in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee) has also totally ignored Mercy Sunday.

No mention of Divine Sunday where I'm at either.
