However, incomers are often shocked by what they see as the church's control-freakery. LDS members are expected to avoid alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee and any kind of sexual display, and away from the cosmopolitan state capital, non-conformists can find life difficult: the licensing laws are restrictive, bordering on bizarre. That is of couse unless you are a Mormon Business that caters to the gentiles and you tithe..then as the Marriott Hotel chain knows ...the alcohol..coffee and porn just pours the dollars into the church coffers..it is called Hyprocity

Hypocrisy for sure. But business is business.
Speaking of control, I caught the A&E program on Mark Hofmann this afternoon. What I learned that I didn't know before is that one of the conditions of his plea bargain was that he would not tell what documents he sold to the Mormon church were forgeries.
